Meet Our Founder: From “Old Blue” to EasyGig Junk Removal

EasyGig was founded by Brendan Little, a Charlotte, North Carolina native and proud University of Tennessee alumnus, with a simple goal: to make junk removal easier, more affordable, and more modern.

Long before EasyGig became a technology-enabled junk removal platform, it started with an old Ford F-150, a lot of weekend work, and a firsthand look at how frustrating the junk removal process could be for everyday customers.

The Founding Story

On his 16th birthday, EasyGig’s founder was given his dad’s old Ford F-150. It had about 300,000 miles on it, plenty of character, and a name: Old Blue.

At first, the truck was exciting. Then came the reality of paying for gas. Then 2020 happened.

As people spent more time at home, they started cleaning out garages, replacing furniture, and tackling projects they had put off for years. At the same time, bulky item pickup became harder to rely on, and many traditional junk removal companies felt expensive, slow, or unclear.

That’s when he saw the gap.

Many customers did not need a full-property cleanout. They just needed help removing a couch, a mattress, a desk, or a small pile of bulky items taking up space.

There was not a simple, affordable solution built for those mid-size jobs. The more customers he served, the more obvious the problem became: junk removal felt stuck in the past.

People could order dinner, book a ride, or schedule groceries from their phone in minutes, but junk removal still often required phone calls, estimates, unclear pricing, and waiting around.

Why couldn’t junk removal work the same way as other modern, gig-based services?

From that idea, EasyGig was built.

Today, EasyGig connects customers with local independent haulers through a simple online booking platform with upfront pricing and a modern customer experience.

The mission is the same as it was back when the first hauls were completed in Old Blue: Modernize junk removal and make it easier for people to make room for what matters.
