EasyGig Hauler Addendum
Last Updated: October 20th, 2025
This EasyGig Hauler Addendum (the “Hauler Addendum”) sets forth additional terms and conditions applicable to Haulers in connection with the Platform and supplements and forms part of the Terms between Haulers and EasyGig. By using the Platform, you agree to abide by this Hauler Addendum. In the event of a conflict between this Addendum and the Terms, the provisions of this Addendum shall control with respect to the Hauling Services.
Hauler Responsibilities
As between Hauler and EasyGig, Hauler assumes all responsibility for the Hauling Services. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, Hauler shall:
- Comply with all applicable federal, state/provincial, and local transportation, waste management, and disposal laws and regulations.
- Provide and maintain vehicles and equipment in safe, legal, and roadworthy condition suitable for the item(s) subject to the Hauling Services.
- Ensure all drivers possess valid driver’s licenses and required certifications (if applicable).
- Only remove items that have been explicitly identified by the Possessor and made available for pickup in a safe, accessible area in the exterior of the pickup location.
- Do not enter any Possessor’s home, building, or enclosed property interior for the purpose of performing the Hauling Services. All items must be placed by the Possessor on the driveway, curb, or other truck-accessible exterior location of Possessor’s property (which may include garages, provided they are accessible to Haulers and their vehicles).
- Properly load, secure, and protect items for transport to prevent spillage, scattering, or other environmental, safety, or other hazards.
- Dispose of all items responsibly and correctly at an appropriate reclamation site, dump, or donation center in accordance with applicable law and the rules of the disposal location. Do not dispose of items in any way that is illegal or unsafe.
- Keep clear records of Hauling Services, including without limitation, before and after photos of the pickup location and items and receipts for all disposal site fees. You may be required to provide these records to EasyGig for verification and payment purposes.
- Be professional, polite, and courteous at all times during the Hauling Services, including without limitation, during any communications or interactions with Possessors.
Hauler Discretion
Haulers retain the right, in their sole discretion, to refuse to collect any items that are unsafe to handle, prohibited by law, exceed weight or size limits, were not expressly identified by the Possessor in scheduling the Hauling Services, or qualify as Prohibited Items.
Communications and Platform Use
All communications with Possessors must take place exclusively through the Platform. Do not request, solicit, or accept any Possessor’s personal contact information to bypass the Platform, and do not provide your personal information to Possessors for use outside the Platform. Any attempt to circumvent the Platform or the privacy policies and practices of EasyGig, or to use the Platform to solicit, accept, or conduct services outside of the Platform, may result in suspension or termination of Platform access.
EasyGig has no responsibility to monitor communications on or through the Platform, but reserves the right to do so. Please review our Privacy Policy for more information about EasyGig’s privacy practices.
Payment and Invoicing
Provided EasyGig receives payment from the applicable Possessor, EasyGig will remit the amounts due to Hauler for the Hauling Services according to the rates and terms set forth in EasyGig’s standard payment schedule or applicable work order. For clarity, the Possessor must pay EasyGig for the Hauling Services before EasyGig will remit payment to a Hauler for providing such services.
To be reimbursed for disposal fees, the Hauler must submit a receipt for the disposal, along with all other required or reasonably requested disposal documentation, within 7 days of completing the disposal. If the receipt is not submitted in accordance with the previous sentence, Hauler may not be reimbursed for the disposal fees. EasyGig will have no obligation to reimburse Hauler for any costs or expenses incurred beyond the agreed-upon payment schedule and authorized disposal fees.
In some instances, the Platform may permit you to cancel Hauling Services that have already been scheduled. Please see our Cancellation Policy for more information, including the cancellation fees that my apply.
Scheduling and Delays
Hauler is responsible for scheduling the date and time of any Hauling Services and for meeting the agreed-upon timelines. Hauler should notify EasyGig immediately if Hauler cannot arrive at the Possessor’s location within one (1) hour of the scheduled pickup window or if there are any other issues affecting Hauler’s ability to provide the Hauling Services. In such instance, EasyGig reserves the right to reschedule the Hauling Services, including with the use of a different Hauler. If Hauler does not arrive at the Possessor’s location within one (1) hour of the scheduled pickup window, then this will be deemed a “Hauler No-Show” and Hauler will incur a fee in accordance with our Cancellation Policy.
Item Handling, Safety, and Compliance
Hauler is responsible for ensuring that the Hauling Services are conducted safely and in compliance with all applicable laws, and assumes full responsibility for all items removed by Hauler from the time they are loaded to the time they are properly delivered to and accepted by the designated disposal facility. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, Hauler is responsible and liable for any loss, spillage, contamination, and environmental and other damages and harms (including damages and harms to Hauler’s person and vehicles) related to the items at all times until such proper delivery and acceptance. In other words, once Hauler loads items that are made available by a Possessor, Hauler takes title to such items and is solely responsible for their storage and disposal.
All pickups and disposals must be clearly and properly documented by Hauler. Hauler is responsible for conducting pre- and post-trip inspections of Hauler’s vehicle(s) and for ensuring that such vehicle(s) is/are safe for operation and use in the Hauling Services. Hauler, not EasyGig, is responsible for any damage to, or caused by, Hauler’s vehicle(s).
Hauler shall ensure that neither Hauler nor anyone driving, loading, or otherwise performing the Hauling Services with or for Hauler operates under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other impairing substances, and shall ensure that all such persons are lawfully permitted to perform the Hauling Services. Hauler is solely responsible for any bodily harm, injuries or death that may occur to Hauler or any other person while providing the Hauling Services.
Insurance
Hauler shall maintain, at its sole cost and expense, at least the minimum level of personal auto insurance required by the state in which they are providing the Hauling Services.
Proof of current coverage must be provided upon registration on the Platform, and updated periodically upon request or as otherwise required on the Platform.
Incident Reporting
While Hauler is responsible for any incidents and liabilities that arise during the Hauler Services, Hauler agrees to notify EasyGig of any accident, spillage, environmental hazard, equipment breakdown, or other incident occurring during the Hauling Services. The notification will include a written incident report submitted within 48 hours of the incident with photographs and all relevant documentation necessary to describe the nature and severity of the incident. Hauler will cooperate with any requests by EasyGig for additional information.
Additional Termination Rights
In addition to the termination rights set forth in the Terms, EasyGig may terminate Hauler’s account and/or access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, if EasyGig becomes aware or has reason to believe that Hauler is operating without the insurance coverage required by this Addendum or under applicable law or is engaging in unsafe, illegal or fraudulent conduct.
Background Check
Registration as a Hauler on the Platform may involve the completion of a background check in accordance with the Background Check Policy. If you do not agree to the completion of a background check, do not use the Platform.
Independent Contractor
As a Hauler, your relationship to EasyGig is solely that of independent contractor. You acknowledge and agree that EasyGig does not, and shall not be deemed to, direct or control your actions, whether in connection with the Hauling Services or otherwise, and you retain the sole right to control the nature, timing, and manner of your performance. Whether you accept Hauling Services is your decision, made at your discretion, and EasyGig does not, and shall not be deemed to, require you to take on any minimum number of, or specific requests for, Hauling Services in connection with the Platform.
For purposes of clarity, notwithstanding anything to the contrary, the Terms are not an employment agreement and do not form any manner of employment agreement between you and EasyGig. You will not hold yourself out as an employee of EasyGig, and you will not be entitled to any benefits of employment from EasyGig or its affiliates.
